Our Famiglia Contributors

We are always influenced by, and will occasionally feature the opinions of, those members of our new, combined Giannettino-Barbaro family, who are both cooks and food-lovers in their own right.  These members include:

Mom G:   Marianne "Mom G" Giannettino has been cooking and entertaining for over thirty-five years.  With a penchant for traditional Sicilian dishes and a knack for the exotic, Mom G is confident in stepping outside of the traditional fare to explore with new tastes & textures in Italian cooking.  Some of her more notable dishes include veal osso bucco, pannata, Christmas Eve feast of the seven fishes and        .

Mom B:   Susan "Mom B" Barbaro has been cooking and entertaining for over thirty-five years.  A master chef at all dishes Italian-American (Neapolitan and otherwise), some of her more notable dishes include her Sunday Sauce, spaghetti puttanesca, chicken & shrimp piccata and her Christmas eve fish feast.  Mom B has a knack for replicating any dish in a restaurant (and has had to do so numerous times at the request of Dad B...)

Grandma Judy:   Mom B's mom is known for her mastery of the quintessential, basic Italian-American fare with pure Neapolitan roots.  Typical dishes that have graced our tables over the years include peppers & eggs, steak pizzaiola, eggplant parmeggiano and asparagus frittata.

Vanessa:   Nikki's li'l sis Vaness is a big fan of the foodnetwork (specifically, Ms. Giada DeLaurentis), and practices her baking and cooking skills on a frequent basis.  Under Mom B's guidance, she can't go wrong!  Vaness is a fan of all things sweet and has been known to devour an entire chocolate cake in a few days time(!)

Chessy:   Jonathan's li'l sis Chessy has had a strong opinion on Italian cuisine since her high school years and has recently started preparing her favorite dishes under the guidance of Mom G.  Chess is known to be a huge fan of fresh proscuitto, spaghetti amatriciana and spaghetti carbonara.  An avid fan of Italian football, Chessy can often be heard yelling "Forza Italia" from time to time.
